2016 EU Film Festival in China, featuring award-winning titles from the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival.


The 2016 European Union Film Festival in China, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to China, is proud to bring another stellar line-up of European films to audiences across China. Featuring some of the newest, award-winning titles from the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival, Over 30 feature films and shorts from all 28 EU Member States will be screened in theaters, cultural centers and universities in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Jinan, and Shanghai.

In partnership with DDDream Distribution, films to watch out for include a selection from the 2016 Cannes Film Festival: Palme d’Or winner Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake (UK), the Dardenne brothers’ latest feature The Unknown Girl (Belgium), and winner of the “Un Certain Regard” Award The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki (Finland), Golden Globe-nominated The Fencer (Estonia), and more. In partnership with Wild Bunch, Cristian Mungiu’s Graduation (Romania), winner of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival Best Director award, will be screened.

France’s strong presence in European cinema will be showcased in Stéphane Di Gusto’s new feature The Dancer as well as a number of award-winning French co-productions (The Unknown Girl, I, Daniel Blake, Graduation, and more). Cult Nouvelle Vague actor Jean-Pierre Léaud also makes a return to the silver screen in La mort de Louis XIV (Spain), and renowned actress Juliette Binoche stars in L’attesa (Italy).

Youth abounds in Once and Begin Again director John Carney’s latest musical foray Sing Street (Ireland), Lukas Moodysson’s We are the Best! (Sweden), and Ivaylo Hristov’s Karatsi (Bulgaria). Genres of all sorts will be presented, including the whimsically animated Extraordinary Tales (Luxembourg), the romantic Zvizdan and mockumentary Houston, We Have a Problem! (Croatia), and shorts from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The latest European features such as Boy on the Bridge (Cyprus) will be screened along with the well-loved Girl with a Pearl Earring. Multiple features from France, Austria, Spain, Italy and more EU Member States will be showcased.

Pre-launch screenings will begin at cultural centers in Beijing from October 14th, at the Italian Cultural Institute (14-16), Institut Français (15-23), Embassy of Estonia (21-22), Cervantes Institute (22-23), and Hungarian Cultural Center (Nov. 2). The official opening will commence on October 26th at CGV Cinemas, with presentations from the European Union Ambassador and special guests.

Films will be screened in Beijing at Broadway MOMA, CGV Cinemas, and Parkview Green Lumiere (Oct. 22-30), Chengdu (Nov. 2-6), Shenzhen (Nov. 9-13), Jinan (Nov. 15-19), and Shanghai (Oct. 22-26). Additional screenings will take place in Beijing in November and December at cultural centers, Beijing University and Beijing Film Academy.

2016年欧盟电影展(中国)盛大开幕 将展映2016年戛纳电影节获奖佳片

2016年欧盟电影展(中国)由欧盟驻华代表团举办,将又一次为中国观众奉上一流阵容的欧洲电影佳作。包括一些新近于2016年戛纳国际电影节获奖的佳片在内,本届影展将在北京的影院、文化中心和大学以及成都、深圳、济南和上海展映来自28个成员国的超过30部电影和短片。

在与数梦传媒的紧密合作下,本届影展得以展映2016年戛纳电影节获奖影片,其中包括获得金棕榈奖的、由肯·洛奇执导的《我是布莱克》;达内兄弟的新作《无名女孩》;获得“一种关注”大奖的《奥利最开心的一天》,获金球奖提名的《击剑手》等。在与Wild Bunch的紧密合作下,获得2016年戛纳电影节最佳导演奖的克里斯蒂安·蒙吉的《毕业会考》,将有机会在影展期间放映。

法国在欧洲影坛的强势地位将由斯蒂芬妮·狄·朱斯托的新片《舞女》以及几部获奖的法国合拍佳片(《无名女孩》,《我是布莱克》,《毕业会考》等)体现。新浪潮的代表演员让-皮埃尔·利奥德回归荧幕,出演了《路易十四的死亡纪事》。知名女演员朱丽叶·比诺什出演了电影《等待》。

青春与活力,洋溢在执导了《曾经》和《再次出发》的导演约翰·卡尼的音乐电影初试《初恋这首情歌》、鲁卡斯·穆迪森的新片《我们是最棒的!》和伊凡埃洛·赫里斯托夫的《失败者》之中。各种流派与题材的电影将在影展放映,其中包括奇异的动画电影《奇特的故事》、浪漫电影《太阳高照》、伪纪录片《休斯顿,我们有麻烦了》以及来自拉脱维亚、立陶宛和爱沙尼亚的短片精选。《桥上的男孩》等最近上映的电影将和《戴珍珠耳环的少女》等广受喜爱的经典电影一同放映。来自法国、奥地利、西班牙、意大利以及更多欧盟成员国的多部电影将参加展映。

影片将于10月14日至23日首先在北京的使馆与文化中心放映,其中意大利文化中心放映时间为14至16日,法国文化中心为15至23日,爱沙尼亚使馆为21至22日,塞万提斯学院为22至23日,匈牙利文化中心为11月2日。影展的开幕式将于10月26日在CGV星聚汇影城举行,欧盟驻华代表团大使和特邀嘉宾们将出席开幕式。

10月22至30日,影片将在北京当代MOMA百老汇电影中心,CGV星聚汇影城和芳草地卢米埃影城放映。成都(11月2至6日)、深圳(11月9至13日)、济南(11月15至19日)和上海(10月22至26日)的放映也将陆续展开。此外,11月至12月,额外场次的放映将在使馆文化中心、北京大学和北京电影学院举行。
